We'll record some video for you guys. We're certainly going to miss you! We'll for sure have a cocktail or two for you, and of course, say some prayers. Julie PS, Wendy, if no one else needs any ice, I'll be happy to take half a bag or so off your hands.

Lori, don't forget to call Indian Trails first, to make sure your site is available a day early!

Lori, Abby is 11 year old, too. Erica is 14 and Aaron is 17. If you can drag him away from his laptop, he still likes to play football, go fishing, swimming, etc. Abby's best friends are all boys, so I'm betting they'll get along famously!

RE: Wisconsin Fall Rally - October 10th - 12th.

Hey, Steve . . . If I have a problem, can I give one of those F450's a REAL test drive? I'll only be pulling the Taj Mahal a 125 miles or so on Wednesday and of course again on Sunday. :B :B :B HEHE :B and of course you'd like it delivered for the test, with a wiring harness and a 5er hitch installed, to your door? :B:B Oh yeah and in Dark Toreador too, right? But of course! :B :B :B

We're all cleaned, packed, and ready to go!!!! The dodge lost a main wiring harness and has no cooling system at the moment, so I'm going to have to baby the 5er to the campground. I don't think it is quite up to pulling the Taj Mahal though. Stupid harness is 1800 bucks:( I can't wait to see everyone. I'm soo excited Joe Dang, Joe! That's an EXPENSIVE harness! At least Indian Trails is only a short drive for you guys! I can't wait until Wednesday! We soooooooooo need to get away and see all our friends! I still have a lot of packing to do, and Erica has a volleyball game tomorrow night, and then I have to stay for part of the Varsity game, because it's Parent's Night, so I'm thinking that Wednesday is going to be VERY busy! RE: Wisconsin Fall Rally - October 10th - 12th.

Marty, many thanks! I'm so glad it was "only" the batteries! Not that they're inexpensive, but it was certainly better than the alternative! Good thing, as we might have ended up camping in YOUR 5er! It's the only one big enough to add the Mik Clan! LOL Course, Joe, was on the short list of folks to come and get the Taj Mahal! :B Will the Amish Apple Cake work for you, Marty? We're having that Thursday night! :B Oh, and Dave, watch it, or I'll be forced to bring Rufus! He doesn't like it when his chicken friends feel threatened! :B :B :B Rufus: http://pic50.picturetrail.com/VOL437/665499/4326994/113984906.jpg Hey, Joe . . . RE: Rear end sagging to much

I have Firestone Ride Rites on my truck. Cost about $250. No on-board compressor for me, either. I air mine up to 20 lbs. when we're towing and it keeps me nice and level. Julie

RE: Hard Starting Diesel -- Help Please! RESOLVED! See pg. 3

Looks like it's all fixed! Two new batteries ($94 each) and a $20 to the kid who put them in for me and my baby's as good as new! First start was a little slow, but I know the batteries need to charge. Second start was QUICK! Wow! As soon as Greg gets here, I'm going to take it for a spin to give the batteries a chance to charge. Thank goodness! And THANKS to all the GREAT folks here for helping me out! I always know that when there's a problem the folks here are very quick to help! It is MUCH appreciated! My truck thanks you, too! The Mik Rig has to be ready to roll in a few days! Julie

RE: Hard Starting Diesel -- Help Please! RESOLVED! See pg. 3

Thanks, everyone! I just had the batteries tested and one of them was VERY low. I don't know the exact numbers, but I was there when they were tested. These are the original batteries on my truck, so they're almost 6 years old now . . . I'm getting new batteries shortly! ($94 each from Napa.) Keep your fingers crossed that this will solve my problem! I'll let you know . . . Thanks again! Julie

Denny, thank you. Response sent. Mav, I haven't checked the batteries yet. I'm at work and Greg's at home with the volt meter. That's going to have to wait until I get home and figure out how to test them.

RE: Hard Starting Diesel -- Help Please! RESOLVED! See pg. 3

OK, thanks. As soon as Greg gets here, I'll run over to the filling station that I normally fill up at (NOT the place where I filled up last time) and fill up the tank and add the additive and drive around a bit. I have an extra fuel filter and actually know how to change it myself, so it appears that may be what I'll be doing after work! :E Oh, joy! lol

RE: Hard Starting Diesel -- Help Please! RESOLVED! See pg. 3

Mav, I'm at about 1/4 of a tank. Can I just fill up and put in the additive? I don't have to drain out what's in there, do I? Julie

JustLabs, thanks. WA8SCH, I just looked at the posts on both batteries, and they're nice and clean.

Yes, I do have glow plugs. The light goes on as normal and doesn't take any longer to go out than it did before . . . How would I know if the glow plugs are bad?

Hard Starting Diesel -- Help Please! RESOLVED! See pg. 3

I noticed last week that my truck seems to be having a rougher time starting than normal. What I mean is that it turns over, but it takes longer than it should. I have a 2003 Chevy 2500HD Duramax/Allison with about 98,000 miles on it. Any thoughts on what it could be? Could it be bad diesel fuel? (I changed the fuel filter in April, and have probably only gone 6,000 miles since then.) I really just noticed this since filling up last week. Coincidence? Everything else seems to be fine. I'm just worried that one of these times, it's not going to turn over at all! Thanks! Julie
